Other Announcements:

New Bible class opportunities have begun on Wednesday evenings. 3-year-olds through 5th grades are meeting in Room 410. 6-12th grades are meeting in the Loft.

There is a target date for the 1st week in March to resume ALL Bible classes.

If you would like to share some Valentine’s Day love and encouragement with one or more of Walnut Street’s college students, please contact Lesa (615-430-1293) or Allee Cude and they can provide you with contact information. We’re trying something a little different than our secret pal program, so your recipient can know who sent them a Valentine treat. Following are some COVID friendly shopping ideas: order a gift card with your next grocery pickup/delivery, send an e-gift card via email, pick up a Sonic or DQ gift card through the drive thru, order snacks/treats from Amazon or any online retailer and have them delivered directly to the student.

Between now and Valentine’s Day, students in the CIA group (3rd through 5th grade) will decorate cards to send to those in our church family who are sick and shut in. Supply packets are now available at the Welcome Center for the children to pick up after services. Please drop off decorated cards in the red basket at the Welcome Center so that these can be addressed and mailed. If you know of someone who would benefit from a card, please see Pat Pewitt.

February’s items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are towels/washcloths. These items will be provided to each of our mission house residents when they move in. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.

During these days, many of our people are relying on technology, some more than usual. If you need tech support with your tablet, smartphone, laptop, or smart-TV, please email us your question at: askwalnutstreet@wscoc.com. We will do our best to respond personally to your question and help offer support in some way.

Reading for today: 7 Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me:
It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
