• Judy Choate, who is recovering from a heart cath procedure
• Kimberly Fowlkes, who is waiting on test results from her cardiologist
• David Porter, who is recovering from cancer surgery
• Herman Grimes, (friend of many at Walnut Street and employee at Taylor Funeral Home) who has been admitted to Horizon with covid
• Curtis Akers, (father of Julie Hicks) who remains in Southern Hills Medical Center

Other Announcements:

There will be new opportunities for Bible classes starting this Wednesday night, January 27th. In Room 410 there will be Bible classes for 3 years-5th grades. Also, in the loft there will be a class offered for 6-12th grade.

There is a target date for the 1st week in March to resume ALL Bible classes.
Between now and Valentine’s Day, students in the CIA group (3rd through 5th grade) will decorate cards to send to those in our church family who are sick and shut in. Beginning Sunday, January 24, supply packets became available at the Welcome Center for the children to pick up after services. Please drop off decorated cards in the red basket at the Welcome Center so that these can be addressed and mailed. If you know of someone who would benefit from a card, please see Pat Pewitt.

Please be reminded that audio and video resources are available for your family at WSCOC.com. Just click the ‘media’ link and scroll to the following: ‘Bible Stories’. The last lesson posted was the “Resurrection of Jesus”—many more lessons are available. ‘Recorded Lessons’, like the Wednesday night auditorium class and audio of Sunday AM and PM services go back several years.

January’s items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are dish soap/laundry detergent. These items will be provided to each of our mission house residents when they move in. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.

During these days, many of our people are relying on technology, some more than usual. If you need tech support with your tablet, smartphone, laptop, or smart-TV, please email us your question at: askwalnutstreet@wscoc.com. We will do our best to respond personally to your question and help offer support in some way.

Reading for today: 14 “Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of [a]the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [b]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:14-15 (My Life in Him Devotional Book page 20)
