We extend our sympathy to Calie Jackson and family in the loss of her mother, Ann Freeze, who passed away Wednesday. A memorial service will be held at the Tennsco Building Saturday from 2-5 PM.  She was the grandmother of Sarah Jackson.

Prayers have been requested for:

• Melba Lankford, who will undergo surgery today at St. Thomas
• Sharon Webster, who has been admitted to St. Thomas West
• Samuel Lewis, who has been diagnosed with two minor, correctable heart defects; will continue to be monitored
• Loretta Morgan, who is recovering from knee replacement surgery
• Earl Davidson, who is recovering from pacemaker replacement surgery
• Evelyn Adkins, who is recovering from cataract surgery
• Willie Ryland, (brother of Larry Ryland) whose cancer has spread; has begun chemotherapy
• Betsy Porter, (mother of David Porter) who in undergoing tests

 Other Announcements:

There will be an informational Bible Bowl meeting this Sunday following the evening worship service in room 412.  This meeting is for anyone interested in participating in Bible Bowl, along with their parents.

Sunday, August 1, will be Walnut Street Bible Class Teacher Appreciation Day.  Please note the following for August 1:

1. Please note that the evening assembly will begin at 5 PM.
2. Kindergarten Recognition will take place at 5 PM. Parents and children entering kindergarten in the fall are asked to notify the church office and email a photo of their child to pmassie@wscoc.com.
3. During the worship time, Bryan’s lesson will deal with the importance of teaching God’s word and thankfulness for all those in our Education Ministry.
4. Following the evening assembly, there will be a catered meal for the congregation as an expression of thanks to all who are involved in communicating God’s Word. Please sign up for this meal on the QR code no later than this Sunday, July 25.

The Family Fellowship group will enjoy a pool party at Buckner Pool on Thursday, July 29 from 6-8 PM.  Cost is $10 per family.  Drinks will be provided.  Bring extra money if you want to sign up for pizza.

Mark your calendars for the Ladies’ Card Signing and Encouragement get together for Sunday, July 25^th at 4:30 PM in the Lower Gathering Room.

July items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are plastic food containers and cleaning products. These items will be provided to each of our mission house residents when they move in. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.
