We wish to congratulate Ricky & Lori Hardin on the birth of their granddaughter, Charlie Ruth Donegan, who was born Tuesday, July 26. Proud parents are Steven and Brianna Donegan. Proud big sister is Montana.
We wish to congratulate Griffin Pass who was baptized Monday night. Griffin is the son of T.J. and Bekah Pass.
We extend our sympathy to James Hagewood in the loss of his aunt, Betty Groves, who passed away Sunday. Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM, also at Taylor.

- Rick Gray (husband of Betty Ruth Gray, father of BJ Owen and Ashley Fussell) who has returned home from the hospital and will continue with chemotherapy and dialysis
- Joyce Baker, who will undergo bladder cancer surgery on August 14

- Paul Wilkins, who is recovering at home
- Dorothy Few, who is having health problems
- Buddy Yates, (father of Mike Yates) who is having several health problems
- Juliet Smith, (mother of Michelle LeCompte) who is sick
- Robert Hardee, (uncle of Sherry Gulledge) who has received a good report from his cancer doctor

The Home Builders group will host at Back-to-School swim party on Thursday, August 3rd from 5:30-7:30 at Buckner Park. Bring money for pizza.
There will be a Senior Ministry work day with the Help Center, Saturday, July 29 from 8-11:30 AM; sign up in the Gathering Room. This group will help with a food give away at the Dickson YMCA.
It’s never too early to think about a Food for Thought. Join us August 8 at noon for a wonderful meal prepared by Carol Heflin and her crew. The speaker will be Terry Marlin. Deadline to RSVP is Friday, August 4.
All men are invited to Men’s Night Out at the Sounds Game on Friday, August 11. Sign up in the Gathering Room. Deadline to sign up is August 2.
Make plans to attend the 5th Sunday at Walnut Street on July 30. Bryan McAlister will be preaching at 9 am, teaching the 6th grade through adult Bible class, followed by an add-a-dish meal, and will then preach at the mid-day service. Invite your friends and bring food for yourself and our guests for our add-a-dish meal.
Walnut Street’s Christian Child Care is accepting applications for the following: part-time floater (20 hours), part-time afternoons (15-20 hours), substitutes (varies). Please contact Allyson at 615-306-3175 for more information about these positions.
The Wednesday morning ladies’ class let by Judy Hinson will resume on September 6 in room 406. All ladies are invited!
In consideration for the upcoming 5th Sunday Celebration, the Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting will be rescheduled for Sunday, August 6. In the future, this group will meet each 4th Sunday of the month.
