 We extend our sympathy to Henry Perkins and Pat Manley in the loss of their mother, Patsy Perkins who passed away Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held yesterday at Taylor Funeral Home.

 We extend our sympathy to Sandra Whittinghill in the loss of her brother, Tommy Edmisson, who passed away Sunday. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Taylor Funeral Home.

 We extend our sympathy to Candice Compton in the loss of her aunt, Julia Whitworth, who passed away Friday. Funeral services were held Sunday at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Prayers are requested for

•  George Cummings, (father of Paul Cummings) who will undergo surgery to remove a blockage on October 10
• Stewart Curcio, (son of Melissa and Joe Curcio) who is in Haiti with the Marines assisting in relief efforts
• Kelly Duran, who received good results from recent scans
• Barbara Beasley, whose surgery went well
• Tricee Thomas, who will undergo surgery on October 10
• Pam Deak, who is recovering from surgery
