We extend our sympathy to Dorothy Harness in the loss of her sister, Hazel Lyell, who passed away Saturday, December 23. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Taylor Funeral Home.

The church office will be closed Monday, January 1, 2018.  The office staff wishes you all a Happy New Year!

The YMCA of Dickson County is opening up their building as a warming shelter starting Friday (tonight), Saturday, and Sunday from 7 pm – 7 am. They are in need of three volunteers to sit at the Y and insure that all goes well.  They need at least one male and one female.  If you are interested in helping, contact Chad Fussell at 615-533-4858.

If you have not picked up your His Word devotional book for 2018, they are available at the Information Booth, the table in the Gathering Room, or in the church office.

The Young Adult Christmas party will be held Friday, December 29 in the Loft.  Text Mark Gooch at 615-714-6515 to sign up, or sign up on the group’s Facebook page. There will be a prize for the best Christmas sweater.

A crafting group will begin meeting each 3rd Tuesday from 9 AM to 2 PM in the Loft.  This group will work on card making, needlework, quilting, etc.  The first meeting will take place on January 16 and an RSVP is needed for lunch.  Please call 615-446-5854 or 615-446-4041 if you are interested.

Walnut Street’s New Pictorial Directory- The following sign-up dates are December 31, and January 3.  Pictures will begin on January 4. You can sign up in the Gathering Room. Any questions or if you would like to help please contact Troy Williams.

All ladies are invited to participate in a Ladies’ Self Defense Class on Monday, January 8 at 6:30 PM.  This class will be held at the Renaissance Center. Sign up in the Gathering Room

53rd Sunday Schedule

In preparation for our 53rd Sunday special contribution, a 10-day “One More Lord’s Day to Glorify God” devotional booklet was distributed this past Sunday morning.  The devotionals began yesterday. If you did not receive a copy, please pick one up at the Information Booth.
