We extend our sympathy to the family of June Leathers who passed away Wednesday. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 9 from 10 AM until the time of a memorial service at 11 AM here at Walnut Street.
We extend our sympathy to Luther Byrd in the loss of his nephew, Ronnie Byrd. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Woodbine Hickory Chapel in Nashville.
We extend our sympathy to June McCormack in the loss of her husband, G.E. McCormack, who passed away on Thursday. Graveside services were held Monday.

- Karen Greene, who responded to the invitation and requested prayer Wednesday evening
- Ruby Williams, who has improved some and would enjoy short visits
- Rick Gray, (husband of Betty Ruth Gray, father of Ashley Fussell and B.J. Owen) who has several tests coming up
- Johnny Loveless, (friend of many at Walnut Street) who is experiencing some serious health problems
- Anita Luther, who has health concerns
- Mary Rachel Leach, (daughter of Steve and Cindy Leach) who has been admitted to St. Thomas West with pneumonia
- Cale Baggett, (grandson of Dorinda Wilson) who has begun chemotherapy treatments this week at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital
- Shanna Booker, (friend of Chuck Daniel family) who suffered a heart attack and has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- Clara Schreiber, (mother of Robbie Oliphant) who received a pacemaker
- Carolyn Wilson, (cousin of Sandra Turbeville and Robbie Oliphant) who is recovering from quadruple bypass surgery

Please be aware of new marking in our parking lots. Now complete, with handicap posts installed, these new parking spots are a blessing to our families using wheel chairs and those with handicap placards. These newly marked parking spots meet federal guidelines for handicap accessibility and require handicap placards be displayed inside the vehicles parked there. Anyone else needing assistance parking their car is invited to pull up to our curbside greeter located just outside our main entrance off Walnut Street. They are happy to assist anyone needing help parking. For your continued safety, please park only in designated parking spots. Thank you.
All men are invited to a Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, December 2 at 8 AM. Sign up in the Gathering Room by Wednesday. Speaker will be Sean Moore.
The Men’s Devo will be held Monday, December 11 at 6:30 PM. All men are invited.
All ladies are invited to a D.O.T.S. Ornament Exchange on Thursday, December 7 at the home of Janie Jones. Sign-up in the Gathering Room. Space is limited.
We plan to decorate our building with honorary and memorial poinsettias. We will have sign-up sheets in the Gathering Room on Sunday, December 3 for those wishing to purchase a poinsettia in honor/memory of someone. The cost will be $7.00 each. Payment will be needed at the time of sign-up.
The Young Adult group will host their annual Christmas Party on Friday, December 15 at 6 PM in the Loft. Sign up by December 10 in the Gathering Room, on the Young Adult Facebook page or text Mark Gooch at 615-714-6515. There will be a prize for the best Christmas sweater.
The Homebuilders Group will host a Santa’s Workshop activity on Sunday, December 17 in the Fellowship Hall following evening worship service. There will be ornament crafts which will be delivered to area nursing homes and police/fire department, photos with Santa and refreshments. Sign up in the Gathering Room to bring refreshments.
